Tribute to Lamont Baillie, 1948 - 2020

i knew Lamont for 35 years as a fellow local solicitor and he was one of the best and most decent guys to work with. He always tried to settle disputes sensibly.His death and the manner of it is trully shocking.He is sadly mussed.

I had a divorce case with Lamont many years ago where the clients where being obstinate. We had several court hearings and meetings and each day Lamont insisted on adjourning to a local restaurant for lunch. He always ended with that famous cigar and the conversation was always interesting, humorous and indeed educational as he was a wealth of wisdom. He helped the case reach a satisfactory conclusion with his careful and understanding attitude towards both clients. He was one of life's beautiful people and will be very sorely missed.

Lamont, Will be sadly missed walking up and down the hill in Carmichael, He never walked past without saying hello, we cant get over he has been taken from our small Village tragic we will always remember Lamont. The Shaw Family x
